Connecticut tribal gaming revenues continue to drop

Connecticut’s two federally recognized Indian Tribes reported yet another drop in their slot machine revenues.

For November 2009, revenues at the Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods were down 1.4%. The facilities are owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

The Mohegan Tribe reported a 10.8% drop at Mohegan Sun. That’s worse than the declines reported in October.

According to an agreement with these tribes, Connecticut gets 25% of the tribes’ slot revenues. Thus, these declines will affect the state’s tax situation als.
