Oneida Tribe wants to turn county garbage into energy

The Oneida Tribe of Indians in Wisconsin have requested to use Brown County garbage for a gas-to-energy project.

The Seven Generations Corp., owned by the tribe, wants to use county garbage in a demonstration project to help reduce energy costs.

The corporation wants to build the facility on tribal land next to the county waste station. It would seek federal stimulus funds or low-interest loans to help pay for it.
