Tribe wins SBA award for being a champion of minority business

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe in New York has been hailed as a “champion” for minority-owned businesses.

The tribe’s Office of Economic Development received the 2010 Minority Small Business Champion Award from the Small Business Administration.

“This is recognition for how the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe supports, promotes and contributes to local and regional economies,” Chief James Ransom said in a press release. “We are proud to receive this award and we commend the Office of Economic Development for its achievements.”
