Oklahoma bill to include Indians in state education?

The Oklahoman legislature has passed HB 2929 to create the “Oklahoma Advisory Council on Indian Education Act.”

The council will add input to help codify and amplify curriculum for Indian children.

Apparently, the bill is awaiting Gov. Brad Henry’s signature.
