Theodore Roosevelt National Park transfering 225 bison to tribes

Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota is culling its buffalo herd and will transfer 225 bison to two tribes. The animals will go to the Blackfeet Nation in Montana and the Spirit Lake Dakotah Nation in North Dakota.

The park works with the InterTribal Bison Cooperative to identify tribes that need bison.
