New Portland Oregon radio show on American Indian issues

KBOO radio in Portland Oregon has started a new Thursday night show entitled “Tillicum Wawa: Voices of the People.”

The pilot program was November 11, 2010 and is now available by podcast on the KBOO website.

Eugene Johnson and the other hosts interviewed Eric Bernando and Peter Bauer (Urban Scout) about the Chinook Jargon classes they teach at the Grand Ronde Tribe, in their homes, and at Portland Community College.

They also interviewed Robert Miller, (the author of this blog), a Shawnee citizen, lawyer, and law professor at Lewis and Clark Law School about his new book “Discovering Indigenous Lands: The Doctrine of Discovery in the English Colonies.”

If you like this show and want it to continue, please email Chris Merrick, KBOO’S program director at: program@kboo.org
