Indian gaming revenues hold steady

Indian Country Today reports that after slipping a bit with the USA economic slump, American Indian governments that offer gambling saw their revenues remain steady in 2010. The gross revenues generated by the Indian gaming industry were $26.5 billion in 2010 according to the National Indian Gaming Commission. Tribal governments use these revenues to operate their governments and social welfare programs.
